Human Services

Mifflin Juniata Human Services is a joint operation of Mifflin county and Juniata county governments. This county department serves as the fiscal agent for most human service funding in the counties through contract management.

All activities of this office focus on improvement of coordination, planning, management, and service delivery in Mifflin and Juniata counties.


Some of these activities include:

  • The administration of human service funds for the counties through GRANT PROGRAMS.
  • The provision and direction for activities focused toward improving the coordination and collaboration of planning, managing, and delivering human services through INFORMATION AND REFERRAL.
  • The assessment of residents' human services needs in order to provide self-sufficiency through HOUSING ASSISTANCE.
